Peter has been working in the oil and gas sector for more than 40 years in a career that has included 30 years at BP and over 10 working with sovereign-backed and independent oil, gas, power and chemical organisations.
Having graduated from Ohio University with an MSc in Geology, as well as an Executive Masters in International Management from the acclaimed Thunderbird School of Global Management in Phoenix USA, Peter’s professional focus is on exploration and production as well as optimising the full energy value chain.
He has honed his specialist knowledge in roles spanning Director of Sasol Mozambique, where he managed everything from exploration and production to fuel retail and community development projects; Head of Exploration and Production with a portfolio in Africa, the Middle East and Canada; VP for Business Development for the TAQA Group and President of BP Libya. He was the manager on the first Carbon Capture and Underground Storage (CCUS) project in the Industry, and is on the Association of International Energy Negotiators (AIEN) CCUS Task Force to develop Industry standards and model contracts .
